What to Expect
Your appointment will be held at FINETUNE Medspa in Frisco, Texas. It begins with a consultation to assess your skin, review your goals, and confirm that EZ Gel is the right choice for you. From there, your provider draws a small sample of blood, much like a routine lab draw, and processes it in our centrifuge. Preparation takes roughly thirty minutes, during which a topical numbing cream is applied. The gel is then placed using a fine needle or a blunt-tip cannula, depending on the area and your provider’s assessment.
Because EZ Gel is made from your own blood, what you do beforehand matters. Arrive well hydrated, and for two to three days ahead of your appointment focus on a protein-rich diet with foods high in vitamin C and iron. The better the quality of your blood on the day of your draw, the better the gel we are able to prepare for you.
Swelling is expected, and under the eyes it can be more noticeable than patients anticipate. Mild bruising, tenderness, and redness are also common. Most swelling settles within a few days, though it can last up to a week depending on the area treated. Subtle volume is visible early, and the deeper change in skin quality develops over the following weeks as your growth factors go to work.
Many patients see improvement after one session. We typically recommend two to three treatments spaced four to six weeks apart for the fullest result, with maintenance as needed. EZ Gel is usually performed on its own, with other services scheduled around two weeks later or between sessions.
Neurotoxins and dermal fillers are the exception and can generally be done the same day. Your provider will map all of this out at your consultation.
